Welcome to my directing portfolio – a collection of narrative projects that reflect my passion for grounded, character-driven storytelling. With a specialty in comedy, my directing approach is all about serving the story — every creative decision is rooted in what the scene, the character, and the overall narrative needs. I create space for performers to explore, while keeping a clear vision anchored in strong storytelling instincts. My work has been recognised with multiple awards for its clarity, tone, and originality.

Whether I’m working with actors on a scripted short film or guiding a branded shoot with real people, I bring a calm, story-first approach to every set — helping the message land, whether it’s emotional, comedic, or commercial.

bin day - short film

Bin Day is a short comedy set during the apocalypse, where a pacifist woman and her lazy husband must work together to rid their home of an unwanted, undead pest. I wrote and directed the film, blending dry humour with horror elements in a uniquely suburban setting. It’s gone on to receive awards and recognition on the festival circuit, including the Fun Is Good Comedic Shorts Award at the Twin Cities Film Fest—personally selected by Bill Murray.

The Gorge is a suspenseful short thriller about a grieving woman and her friends who must survive a night in the woods when an unseen force begins to hunt them—though not all is as it seems. I wrote and directed the film, which starred Home and Away’s Lincoln Lewis, and was produced on a $50,000 budget. It premiered at the Brisbane International Film Festival and focuses on atmosphere, misdirection, and emotional tension.

Stiff's short film

Stiff’s is a dark comedy about a forensic pathologist trying to keep it together as April Fool’s Day pranks wreak havoc in the morgue. I directed the film, which stars acclaimed Australian actor Darren Gilshenan (Harrow, No Activity, The Moodys). It was shot over two days and went on to win Audience Choice at the Brisbane Independent Film Festival.

The Break room - web series

The Break Room is a workplace comedy web series set in the chaotic heart of a mid-sized company, where the break room becomes a stage for quirky encounters and petty rivalries. I served as one of the series’ writers and directors. Each episode was filmed in just two hours with a crew of students, as part of a hands-on initiative to give emerging filmmakers real-world experience on set.

Marble Recruitment - corporate video

I directed this branded content piece for Melbourne-based production company Vidico, working alongside a cinematographer to capture a full day in the Brisbane office of recruitment agency Marble. The shoot focused on authentic, engaging visuals that reflected Marble’s workplace culture and values. I worked closely with Vidico’s remote team throughout pre-production and delivery to ensure the final product aligned with the client’s brand vision.

McGraw hill - corporate video

I was hired by Melbourne-based production company Vidico to direct this educational content piece for McGraw Hill. Filmed over one day at Mastery Schools Australia in Ipswich, the video highlights how McGraw Hill’s textbooks are used within the school’s innovative learning approach. I brought in my own cinematographer and worked closely with Vidico’s remote creative team to ensure the final piece aligned with McGraw Hill’s messaging and visual identity.

RACV Noosa Resort – Recruitment Video

I was part of the directing team on this recruitment video for RACV Noosa Resort, officially working as Assistant Director but regularly stepping into directing responsibilities throughout the shoot. With a small, collaborative crew of five, we each took on multiple roles to bring the project together efficiently and professionally. The video was designed to showcase the resort’s positive team culture and stunning environment, helping attract new staff through an honest, engaging tone.

Experience Eumundi – 2022 Campaign

I was part of the directing team behind this vibrant tourism campaign for Experience Eumundi, created to highlight the town’s unique character, local businesses, and creative culture. The project blended lifestyle visuals, community interaction, and playful storytelling to promote Eumundi as a must-visit destination on the Sunshine Coast.

Blink TV – Aussie World Episode

As part of the Blink TV lifestyle series, I directed and helped produce this short-form tourism piece spotlighting Aussie World on the Sunshine Coast. Created as part of an in-house initiative, the series focused on fun, fast-paced videos for social media, showcasing local attractions in an engaging, viewer-friendly format. I worked across both production and direction to bring energy and clarity to each story, with a focus on capturing natural interactions and community charm.
